U.S. Soccer Director of Coaching Course

VPSL will be hosting US Club Soccer’s first-ever hybrid (virtual + in-person) U.S. Soccer Director of Coaching course starting this January 2023. VPSL Coaching will have priority registration until December 16.

This is a 15-week course with in-person days from February 20-24, in Richmond, Virginia.

The learning objectives of the U.S. Soccer DOC course are:

  • Identify strengths and weaknesses in the club
  • Assess, improve, and align club player development philosophy with core values, mission of the club
  • Assess, improve, or develop a player centered development philosophy and implement
  • Identify a teaching methodology and guide its implementation
  • Develop a club coach profile aligned with values and beliefs of the club
  • Develop a plan for staff development (coaches)
  • Develop a plan to improve the performance environment
  • Develop a strategic narrative for the club (vision and future direction)
  • Develop a strategy to represent the club both internally and externally
  • Develop a personal development plan for continual growth

VPSL is proud to host official US Soccer Federation license courses via our national governing body, US Club Soccer.

Please note that to host a Grassroots 4v4, 7v7, 9v9, or 11v11 module, we request at least 1-month to process the paperwork, get the course approved with US Soccer, and advertise it.  For a D License, we suggest 2-months prior notice for planning purposes.
